Catskill Meanderings
Many of these photographs are part of my Catskill Meanderings series.
I know I am not alone in feeling increasingly disconnected from the natural world. One of the ways I attempt to strike a balance is to begin each day with a long walk or hike in the picturesque surroundings of my Catskill Mountain/Hudson Valley home in upstate New York.
For nearly two decades I’ve recorded my experience of place within the context of these walks with either my iPhone or DSLR camera.
Most of the images only make it as far as our Instagram feed, but I preserve a select few as fine art photographs.
